chuck taylor, a player and a salesman

Most people have their shoe of choice. Some people will never ever part with the 90's icon the Doc Marten, some people love their skate shoe, and for some its not a style but a brand that they pine and urn for. For me its the Converse All-Star, you know the Chuck Taylor's, Chucks, the original basketball shoe, the shoe that has zero ergonomic properties but comes in the most fashionable styles and colors. Recently I've downgraded my footwear at work from your average business casual shoes to my old standbys, but recently they have been causing me a bit of an issue. You know that annoying feeling of your shoes slipping off your heel as you walk, but the more annoying flatulation sound that it makes with each stride. Well my work ready brown Chucks are displaying this most unflattering property making me wonder if every person that I walk by thinks I have a rapid-fire gastric problem.

You'll be happy to know that I haven't worn my docs in well over 3 or 4 months now. I'm diggin' my Nike basketball shoes that I wear everyday. They've only seen the court like 4 times, but they can walk a dog through the mud like a champ.
The last time I saw your Chucks, you were wearing them and I could still see your toes and your heel. Just a little "worn in." I hope that you got a new pair by now. Or maybe you've decided to just wear bread bags over them now.

Interesting topic, I too wrestled with what I needed to wear to work and yet I was told that the shoe of choice was the traditional hard leather soled shoe. Well as almost everyone should knwo that after a day in them you end up driving home with your shoes off as you clear the exit of the parking lot. I have searched and search to find that there is one shoe that I have found to be very comfortable to wear and yet does not raise the eye browe of,"the man!!!" The Born Blast and you can't even tell I'm jell'n!!!!

Although the bread bags is a viable option, I've been replacing the black chucks annually for the past few but that will probably slow down due to my addition of several new pair, so yes the hole ridden black, duck taped, chucks of the past have been retired. I'm glad to see you're walking dogs again, just like old times at the clinic eh? Thought you would have learned :)

Aaahh "the man", he is keeping everyone down, he's sort of a jerk like that. Fortunately for me the dress code at work allows for some people to show up in sleeveless shirts, shorts, and sandals on regular basis. Sort of odd for a Fortune 100 company I think. You might be able to get away with the all black Converse All-stars, both fashionable and low profile. You know keeping under "the man" radar, but all the while knowing that you're wearing the same shoes to work as Rocky did for training to defeat the arrogant Apollo Creed.

your looking at this all wrong.

You have a perfectly viable excuse for having a real rapid-fire gastric problem.
